Perovskites featured in the Polish Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai

Saule Technologies is showcasing its ground-breaking photovoltaic technology based on perovskites at the 2020 Dubai World Expo (October 1, 2021 – March 31, 2022). Visitors to the Polish Pavilion in Dubai can charge their phones using solar power from a PV system built into the façade.

The Saule Technologies installation consists of 20 vertical linear components with a total area of 2 sq. m. Thanks to the ink-jet printing technology, thin and flexible perovskite cells are directly integrated into the exterior wall of the Pavilion, matching its architectural style.

Perovskite cells are light, flexible, easy to transport. They come in many colors and shapes. This means that the number of possible applications of perovskite cells is practically unlimited – from roofs or façades of buildings, through the charging of cars, bicycles, mopeds, electronic price tags, to satellites in space.
