Electric Solaris buses as school buses in Poland

More Polish municipalities have decided to use Solaris electric school buses. Five municipalities received funding from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in the second part of a program titled "Kangaroo - a safe and ecological way to school." Solaris submitted the best offer for all five municipalities.

The Solaris buses taking children to school will not emit any harmful exhaust gases into the atmosphere. The students' comfort will certainly be increased by the smooth operation of electric motors without noise and violent vibrations, as well as efficient air conditioning. The bus will fit 41 students. The highest level of safety will be ensured by the belts fitted to all seats on board. In addition, the vehicle will be monitored.

The source of energy for the school bus will be Solaris High Energy batteries with a capacity of 260 to 350 kWh (depending on the contract). This configuration guarantees that the expectations of each of the municipalities are met, in all road and climatic conditions, which is extremely important in suburban journeys. The buses will be charged with 40 kW mobile chargers, which were part of the contracts.
