Mitsubishi's Outlander PHEV was recognized as having overall lower-than-average maintenance costs.
I just read that and had to take a double-take. What maintenance costs? I own this car. When I was buying it, it was the only PHEV SUV on the market, at least as far as I know, and I have to say that this car has no maintenance cost.
My only cost is the cost of oil change and tires (wear and tear). Thanks to electric recuperation, the breaks didn't wear out yet (80k) as they usually would.
One other thing I have to add. People who ride with me think it is a luxury car because it drives so smoothly (and it is black with black leather seats), while in fact, it was the least expensive SUV I could find at the time.
